DAY ONE OF SURVEYS - Q&A
over 3 years ago – Thu, Nov 05, 2020 at 12:42:19 PM

Hi all,

By this point, you should have all received your backer surveys! We received over half of the total responses in a single day, with many of you taking advantage of the add-on system, and I can't thank you enough for your continued support. If you haven't received your survey, please check your junk mail. As well, if you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://hiraeth-a-longing-for-home.backerkit.com.

My goal is to have all surveys close by DECEMBER 31st. You will have the opportunity to confirm and lock-in your addresses, but I'm hoping to start manufacturing and shipping in very early 2021.

A few of you at our Green Tea tier also experienced issues with the survey asking for your ship-to address: this issue has now been resolved. Your surveys should have automatically completed, but please double-check and ensure the information is correct. My apologies for the fuss. :)

As well! You can find the link to our LIVE pre-order store at the top of HIRAETH's kickstarter page. This store will also be up for the length of November and December, and is an excellent chance for anyone who missed the campaign to snag themselves some HIRAETH goodies. The store can also be found at: https://hiraeth-a-longing-for-home.backerkit.com/hosted_preorders

Thank you,

Ilinca

SURVEYS ENROUTE!
over 3 years ago – Mon, Nov 02, 2020 at 03:55:44 PM

Hey all,

As promised, you'll soon receive an email from us, within the next few days, with a special link to your BackerKit survey. It’s important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information to fulfill your rewards.

You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey. When you receive the email with the survey, click the survey link to respond. Answer the questions about your reward preferences, provide shipping information, and purchase add-on items if you like. You don’t have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!

After you respond to your survey, you can go back later and change your responses at any time before we close the surveys and get our final counts.

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you can return to your survey by clicking the link in your survey email or requesting your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page at https://hiraeth-a-longing-for-home.backerkit.com.

If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you prefer to use, please contact support at https://hiraeth-a-longing-for-home.backerkit.com/faq.

If you experience any issues, please reach out to the BackerKit team first, through their support page detailed above, as they'll be able to handle more technical questions. If you have any campaign specific questions, or require additional help, you can reach out at [email protected]

We also received enough interest from non-backers, or those who missed the campaign the first time around, in ordering HIRAETH so there'll be a preorder store going up for anyone who missed their chance. This will also be processed through BackerKit, for everyone's ease of use! If you have a friend, loved one, mortal enemy, or colleague who was hoping to snag some HIRAETH goods, now's the time to tell them. There'll be a direct link at the top of the campaign page once the store goes live.

Thank you!

BACKER SURVEYS & COMMISSIONS
over 3 years ago – Wed, Oct 28, 2020 at 09:05:23 AM

Hi all,

The nature of Kickstarters is that they never do quite go as smoothly as you'd like them to! I wanted to send out a quick update to apologize for the delay on the backer surveys. It took more time than expected to set up the BackerKit and preorder store (as well as some unexpected delays on my end), but I should (with any luck and all my fingers crossed) have good news and surveys for you all by the start of next week.

All funds are in hand and accounted for and the surveys & store are under review to ensure we launch cleanly and quickly. For commissioners - please don't fret, I'll be sending you all a separate update upon survey launch to collect your information. You only have to kick up your heels and relax.

Thank you for your patience! If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to shoot an email to [email protected]

Cheers,

Ilinca

Project Update 01 - HAPPY OCTOBER!
over 3 years ago – Thu, Oct 08, 2020 at 11:02:02 AM

I hope you've all had a quiet and chill start to your falls! The season is turning, the winds are changing, we're starting to get well into sweater weather and, with that, I'm here to bring you the first of HIRAETH's project updates!

The Kickstarter funds were deposited in my account late last week, and now we're well underway getting everything in order. You should see your backer surveys go out within two weeks. This will not only give you a chance to confirm your rewards, but also add some extra rewards if you'd like! If you have a commission tier, this will also be your opportunity to fill out your commission information for me to pass along to the artist.

Stay tuned! More updates to come shortly. :)

Thank you,

Ilinca

THANK YOU! HIRAETH IS FULLY FUNDED.
over 3 years ago – Sun, Sep 13, 2020 at 06:15:47 PM

598 backers. $26,016. A month of tireless support, pledges, shares, and sweet comments all leading to me being able to announce that HIRAETH is fully funded.

I don't have much to say here that won't be hopelessly sappy, but thank you to everyone for making this book a reality. The artists involved in HIRAETH have done such phenomenal work, and I'm so excited to share it with you all. Truth be told, when we first started this relaunch, I had my doubts that we'd reach funding this time, but you all came together to support us in an unprecedented and amazing way.

Thank you to all our backers for their pledges, shares, and support. HIRAETH would not exist without you and for that I am eternally grateful.

Thank you to all our supporters. Whether or not you were able to back, every share, kind word, and comment helped make this project a reality.

Thank you to the artists. Stressful as anthology and artbook projects might be at times, you were all an absolute joy to work with. I hope to do so again one day.

Thank to everyone. Welcome home.

SO WHAT NOW?

This is the part where I tell you that I'm going to take a nap and we throw back our heads and laugh. Okay, I'm going to take half a nap, but here's what you can expect from HIRAETH going forward:

  • It'll take 2-3 weeks for the kickstarter funds to be transferred. Upon which all artists will receive their payments.
  • During this time I'll be hard at work doing all the little background tweaking and tasks that go into maintaining a campaign: setting up backer surveys, getting in touch with shippers and manufacturers, collecting info, etc, etc.
  • I'm aiming to start sending out backer surveys in early October.
  • Once addresses and names are confirmed, we'll start the long process of samples, manufacturing books & merchandise, and starting to ship.
  • With any luck (time, weather, good luck, etc permitting), some of you might even have HIRAETH in your hands for Christmas.
  • Either way, I'll ensure you're kept in the loop! Every relevant update will be announced as quick as I can manage.

Thank you again. I'll say that as many times as I need to! We did it! :> I hope the next time we talk, it'll be because I'm sending you your tracking information for your rewards. Keep an eye on this space: updates and surveys will be going out in the next few weeks.

Love,

Ilinca
